Erciyes is an extinct volcano that stands alone on the Anatolian plateau, and the ski resort on its northern face has 112 km of runs served by modern lifts, with more than half of it graded intermediate. It is an hour from Cappadocia and half an hour from Kayseri airport, which is what makes this combination possible: two days skiing, then a day among the fairy chimneys and underground cities before you fly home. Your hotel is at the base of the slopes, so you can ski when you like without arranging transport.

What to expect

• This is a private tour. Only you and your own group take part.
• The itinerary is flexible. You can change the route and set the start and end times to suit you.
• Accommodation is based on a standard double room, two nights at a hotel at the base of the slopes.
• Your guide is with you for the Cappadocia day. The two days on the mountain are yours to ski as you like, with the lifts a short walk from the hotel.
• Lunch with a soft drink is included on the Cappadocia day.
• All entrance tickets in Cappadocia are included.
• Domestic flights are economy class with Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines or AJet Airlines, according to availability. Baggage allowance is 8 kg cabin and 15 kg checked baggage (23 kg in total).

Good to know before you book

• The tour runs during the ski season only, from December to March. January and February have the most reliable snow.
• Ski passes and equipment are not included. Both are available at the resort: lift tickets at Erciyes are sold by the ride rather than by the day, and a full day of skiing with rented equipment usually comes to somewhere between 30 and 55 dollars per person, depending on how much you ski and where you rent. Your guide can help you arrange it on arrival.
• Ski lessons can be booked at the resort, with instructors available for beginners and for children.
• The tour uses the first flight of the morning on the first day, so your pick-up from the Istanbul hotel is around 05:00. This gets you onto the slopes by midday.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 7 days before the tour start date and receive a full refund. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start date, the deposit is not refunded, as your domestic flight tickets are issued in your name and cannot be refunded. Any amount you have paid above the deposit is returned to you.
