If you are on the Aegean coast and want to see Cappadocia without going back to Istanbul first, this tour does it in two days. You fly out of Izmir on the first morning and go straight into the tour, covering the north of the region that day: the rock-cut churches of the Goreme Open Air Museum, the fairy chimneys of Pasabag, and the valleys around Uchisar. You sleep in a cave hotel, and the second day is the south, with the underground city at Kaymakli and the viewpoints over Goreme. In the evening you fly to Istanbul, where the tour ends.

What to expect

• This is a private tour. Only you and your own group take part.
• The itinerary is flexible. You can change the route and set the start and end times to suit you.
• Accommodation is one night in a boutique cave hotel in Cappadocia, based on a standard double room.
• Breakfast at the hotel and lunch with a soft drink on both touring days.
• All entrance tickets on the route are included.
• Domestic flights are economy class with Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines or AJet Airlines, according to availability. Baggage allowance is 8 kg cabin and 15 kg checked baggage (23 kg in total).
• If you would like a Spanish or Portuguese speaking guide, please select this option when booking.

Good to know before you book

• The tour ends in Istanbul, not back in Izmir or Kusadasi. You fly from Cappadocia on the second evening and are taken to your Istanbul hotel, usually around 23:00. Please plan your onward travel from Istanbul.
• The tour uses the first flight of the morning on the first day, so your pick-up is around 04:00, earlier if you are staying further from the airport.
• Direct flights from Izmir to Cappadocia are not available every day. On those days the routing is via Istanbul, at no extra cost to you.
• The balloon flight is not included, but we can arrange it as an optional extra. It takes place at sunrise on your second morning, before the day's tour begins. As you spend one night in Cappadocia, there is one chance to fly, and if it is cancelled for weather you receive a full refund.
• This tour does not include assistant services at airports. The driver drops you at the terminal entrance, and you proceed to your gate after checking in your luggage.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours before the tour start date and receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start date are non-refundable.
